Neither of us can layer up to keep warm it does not work Too hot has never been a problem we both can keep coolish even with temps over 40C, much prefer to be too hot. I lived in the perfect climate in Rhodesia but now it is Zimbabwe!!!!!!!! Botswana would be good, but we have an elderly parent in the UK who we need to be as close as possible to, 96 and living alone. We could not afford to retire in the UK and France was our best option as easy to travel world wide at reasonable costs. Australia would not have us we are not rich enough, and it is too far from the rest of the world. Cheers DianeRhodesiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00159888599601532530noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2090635066385895666.post-71205121460168512592017-09-16T02:24:44.574+02:002017-09-16T02:24:44.574+02:00Now I am really curious. You say above that if you had the resources you would spent part of the year in France and the balance of the year south of the equator. Since you love the heat why would you not settle permanently in a warm climate....Australia, for example? And do I not recall in earlier posts this year you found it too hot and were happy to stay inside most of the day? Personally, I can handle cold weather much better than hot weather. On the coldest winter day I can layer up and stay warm, but when the temperature climbs above 30 it is impossible to escape it.David M. As things stand we have to put up with the cold, and even colder at Christmas, as we go to the UK to be with my FIL who lives there alone in a very cold house. He does not seem to feel the cold despite being 96 and I am ill every year!!! One year when he had his daughter there for Christmas (she lives in Australia) we went to Northern Africa for Christmas and New Year, it was wonderful.<br />Hope that all is well have a good weekend DianeRhodesiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00159888599601532530noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2090635066385895666.post-2096241758716969532017-09-14T18:20:16.451+02:002017-09-14T18:20:16.451+02:00Ha ha very light weight!!
