12/08/2015 We went for a drive today to the La Rochelle area. A few photos taken along the way mostly from a moving car.

Maximum temperature 33C, minimum17C. Very humid.  21 km/h SE wind. A very light shower that did not register in the rain gauge, but tomorrow we are forecast to have rain and storms.

  1. A lovely drive! With you on wind turbines! Of all the towns we visited in the area when we lived there, I think La Rochelle was my favourite. We'd often visit the very good Leroy Merlin there and then go into the old town for lunch. It's very special - thanks for the nice memories!

    1. Glad this brought back memories even if we did not go into La Rochelle itself this time. We visited a couple of excellent restaurants when we stayed there a couple of years back. Have a good day Diane

  2. Hello Diane , looks like a lovely drive. Great photo going through the trees. Must of been a surprise to see an Old Singer sign too. Stunning capture of the Sunflower , great close up. Hope you don't have too much rain in the next few weeks. Take care Anne xx

    1. Anne it looks like there is going to be quite a bit of rain towards the end of August, but when they forecast that far ahead anything could happen, Early September we are off for a week to the West coast, so hope it is dry then, on our return friends arrive from S.Africa for the Angouleme car racing. Take care and have a good weekend Diane xox
