Whenever I visit Europe I am always struck by the history on every corner.
ReplyDeleteI have to agree, I hated history at school but living in France has made me see it in a different light. Such an interesting place. Diane
DeleteThat would be like Russian roulette going into that tunnel. The age of those churches is staggering.
ReplyDeleteIt is had to believe that buildings can last so long but they were obviously built to last in those days! The tunnel (3 of them, but one with traffic lights) were our worse nightmare and we did that route 3 times!! T'other Diane
DeleteOops should have said "Church and castle"
ReplyDeleteLOL.
DeleteSo what happens when you meet someone in that tunnel?
ReplyDeleteGaelyn thankfully we did not have to find out!!! Two of the tunnels were horrific with a bend in the middle so you could not see anyone coming. Obviously one would have to reverse but which one??? The third tunnel had traffic lights so it was not so bad. It was Nigel's worse nightmare driving through these tunnels and we had to do the route three times!!! Diane
