Lovely photos as always, where is the Resistance Memorial? It looks very interesting. x
ReplyDeleteHi Karen take a look at http://lifeincharente.blogspot.fr/2010/05/memorial-de-la-resistance-chasseneuil.html
DeleteHope all is well. Diane
Those first images really do give you cause for thought.

Don't they just! We live right in the middle of the area where the resistance worked. Diane
DeleteGreat looking monument to yet another conflict. How many wars must we have before we realize it is so futile? I was just reading a piece the other day about how the United States has been continuously at war somewhere in the world since WWII. And it doesn't seem set to end any time soon, especially if that whack job Trump were ever to get elected.
ReplyDeleteNo we never learn!!! It is a sad world that we live in. As for Trump!!!!! Take care Diane
DeleteThe Resistance Memorial site is well kept and neat. I have never seen such abundance of sunflowers! Have a beautiful Sunday!
ReplyDeleteGenerally there are flowers at every grave but it seems they have had a clear out. Maybe they will plant new ones.
DeleteHave a good week Diane

The sunflowers make me :D Thinking winter already? Yuck. Are these tree farms or forest?
ReplyDeleteIt seems like it was only winter yesterday..... They are all forest areas, but management apparently is so good here that despite the wood cutting for building, furniture and winter wood burning, the forests in France grow bigger each year. Good news :-) Diane
