08/08/2016 Men at work! And what I believe to be a Redstart.

Maximum temperature 28C, minimum 15C.  18 km/h NE wind.
Look right...

Look left....

Splish Splash...

That was good.  I believe this to be a young Redstart which I have not seen in our garden before.
Phoenicurus phoenicurus.

The spare room.  The plaster was falling off the wall after 10 years of trying to save it!  It is now off and re-plastering will be finished tomorrow.

Lunch time!!

Five bottles of Ratatouille ready for eating in winter.  At a guess I would say we have had at last 60 courgettes this year so far and still plenty on the plants!!  Masses also dehydrated.

A very pale Californian Poppy.

    1. That time of the year. Generally the kitchen is even busier but with the lack of fruit this year it is much quieter. Still a few plums though and figs to sort out. The spare room is on hold as we can't get the new skirting boards.... France is on holiday in August!!!! Diane

    1. The birds are always cute when bathing if I had the time I would watch them for hours :-) I do love all poppies I must admit. Have a good day Diane

    1. Wish I had more time to sit and watch the birds but...... The house is getting there slowly, hopefully it will be another 10 years before we need to have another paint session, and hopefully we find no more problems! Hope all is well Diane
