30/06/2017 Still raining, a quick walk around the garden between showers.

Maximum temperature 17C  minimum 11C.  25 km/h NW chilly winds, 35 km/h gusts. 20 mm rain measured this morning and it has been raining on and off all day again.
Blue Tit.  (Cyanistes caeruleus)

Young acorns being blown to the ground in the winds...

and the leaves from the oak.

Hydrangea.

Courgette flower.

Echeveria.

Large Yellow Rest Harrow - weeds in the lawn but pretty!!

Granny-smith apple. 

The only insect that I saw out was the Hummingbird Hawk-moth (Macroglossum stellatarum) ....

as above.

    1. Thanks Grace, I struggle with bird photos in summer as they are all over the place and I have not the patience, or the time, to sit outside very still for hours waiting. In winter they are close to the house and always looking for food :-)
      Loving the rain for the garden, but I do not like the cold wind that has arrived with it! Have a fab day Diane
