Maximum temperature 18C, minimum 12C.  14 km/h N wind.  
10mm rain measured this morning.

  1. What's the difference between these beetles and Gendarmes Diane? Or are they the same? Great pics but the subtle colours of the hydrangea is my favourite. You certainly have had a lot of rain haven't you? We've had none for two weeks now which in itself is remarkable.

    1. Pyrrhocoris apterus is the "real" name of the bugs with the mask like look Craig, nicknames are numerous, Firebug and Gendarme being a couple of them. I do not know what the other beetles are and I have not had the time to do much research. It as been very dry so the rain was welcome I have to say. Bet though when we go away on Friday for a week it will not rain then when we want it to!. Hope the trip is going well. Diane
