Maximum temperature 15C, minimum 4C. 73 km/h S wind gusts, very hard to stand up! Dry, but rain expected tonight that continues for the whole week!!!
Continuing yesterday's walk - Horses and a cormorant on the pole in the dam. Note the mistletoe in the trees.
A grey heron, next time I walk this way I will take the Nikon with the big lens!
The château across the dam.
Walking behind the dam wall.
Some one has been working, but now taking time out for lunch I guess.
The château.

Pregnant ewes. There must be at least 50 in this field, our neighbour is in for a busy time!
Damn about the freezer and DAmn about the rain. Hope you get a place for your food. It is also raining here. :-( :-( .. not a good day at all. Take care Anne xx
ReplyDeleteThe freezer is only 18 months old Anne so I am not impressed but of course it is out of guarantee!!! It looks like we have a very wet week ahead of us :-(( There will not be many walks me thinks! Take care and have a good Sunday Diane xox
DeleteWhat a pain. Hope you manage tto save the freezer contents.
ReplyDeleteLovely pics, as usual
Thanks Gaynor. Yes it is a pain but I think the food is distributed around OK, just have to find it all again! It is the newest of all the freezers so very unexpected. Have a good Sunday Diane xx
DeleteHow annoying re the freezer, specially if it is only 18months old!! Loved the little practise fence. I had to look twice until I read what it actually was!
ReplyDeleteMore than annoying but what will be will be! There are a couple of interesting practise fences around but this was my favourite. Diane
DeleteHope you found freezer space. Is mistletoe invasive there?
ReplyDeleteYes I found freezer space thank goodness, just have to track it all down again when the other one is back up and working. I answered your mistletoe question when you asked on the 30th so here is a copy of my answer :-)
DeleteGaelyn I think that Mistletoe is a problem in some areas but nobody seems to worry about it in these trees which is where it mostly grows. I do know that at Christmas the English gather as much as they can if they have a van and take it back to the UK to sell. Lots of kissing obviously under the mistletoe. It is mostly too high to gather easily though. Keep well Diane
Sorry, I forgot I'd already asked. It's definitely a problem in areas of the SW USA. Hope you put your name on the distributed freezer packets. ;)
DeleteNo name, but all are labelled and my writing is different. The packages are in four different places, just a pain as my list was spot on and I knew what was in each drawer now I don't even know where they are! Diane :-)
DeleteI wonder how many times I think -'Should have brought the long lens"!!
ReplyDeleteI like herons, they seem a little more common than when I was a kid,
Cheers - Stewart M - Melbourne
I have to agree with that statement, but it is a hassle to carry when just out for a walk. Also as the weather is I could easily get caught in the rain!! Cheers Diane
