Flooding along the route.
A drive by shot of a horse being trained.
More of my pet hate - wind turbines.
Back home sunset over our neighbours house.
I detest wind turbines too, but I want clean energy too!
ReplyDeleteClean energy and millions of dead birds!!! Diane
DeleteWhat a great way to spend the afternoon....Driving in France. Divine.
ReplyDeleteVelva
Thanks Velva, what a difference it makes to have some sunshine :-) Hope you are well Diane
DeleteLove all the old buildings! And the sunset is stunning!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Doniene, I also love the old buildings, pity restoration is so expensive and the youngsters of today cannot afford to do it. A lot of horrible plain houses are going up outside the old villages! Keep well. Diane
DeleteSee these fine old buildings I always wonder if they're still occupied or open for business.
ReplyDeleteMany of them are lived in Gaelyn, but once the older generation die, the children either cannot afford to restore or they want to live in a town where there is a lot going on. As we live in farming country we mostly have the old houses (and the old people) around us. Another 50 years and things may be very different. Sad but so many new houses are going up that do not look French! Diane
DeleteThat church looks as old as the earth. Wind turbines are better than coal mines.
ReplyDeleteVery old church Diane. Anything is better than coal, but what about the massive bird loss?????
Deletehttp://savetheeaglesinternational.org/new/us-windfarms-kill-10-20-times-more-than-previously-thought.html What's more most of them die a lingering death!!!
With poachers, hunters and machinery the youngsters of tomorrow will not know what a wild animal is! T'other Diane
Makes me realise the fuel is still cheaper here than in many places - which given the size of the place is no bad thing I suppose.
ReplyDeleteCheers - Stewart M - Melbourne
and we are very cheap compared with the UK........ Diane
DeleteOur fuel costs are about half yours.
ReplyDeleteI realise that David, and the UK is much dearer than us.... It has always been cheaper in America and Canada as they have not got the high fuel duty and VAT we have. Diane
DeleteVery interesting items you picked up during your drive. I like the view of the well, wind turbine and lovely sunset.
ReplyDeleteI like it all except the wind turbines which I hate. They kill too many birds! Have a good day Diane
