St Adjutory cemetery...
beautifully kept interior.
All cables are being put underground so lots of work going on here.
Think this must be the workers water storage.
Gate bell.
The old weighbridge.
Salle des fetes - where we play scrabble (in french!)
Citroen 2CV
Unknown shrub.
yet another 2 CV
Scrabble.
That must be a challenge, playing in French but a good way to learn vocabulary.
ReplyDeleteDiane it is a challenge, but half the time I find words that I do not know what they mean!!! Nigel's vocabulary has certainly improved but mine is useless, the memory is not very good which does not help!! Take care t'other Diane
DeleteAh, the 2CV - what a classic - nice post.
ReplyDeleteCheers - Stewart M - Melbourne
It amazes me how many 2CV's there are on the roads here especially as the last new one was 26 years ago. We have a guy close by who restores them so we have quite a few in our area in great condition. Diane
DeleteIt must put you in a good mood for the rest of the week hearing a cuckoo.
ReplyDeleteI love the sound of the cuckoo but being a brood parasite I do not really like the bird. I do though love the hoopoe and its call. I seldom, if ever, see a cuckoo but the hoopoe does often come onto our lawn looking for grubs. Hearing both of them though is a good sign. Diane
DeleteThe cemetery is well maintained and neat. Nice to see the old fashioned gate bell, weigh bridge and vintage cars.
ReplyDeleteThanks Nancy it is good to see things like the weigh bridge are kept in good condition so a little of French history can be seen easily. The Citroen though is not a vintage, but probably is classed as a French classic. They were made from 1948 until 1990. A vintage (UK) is only from 1919-1930. I think the Americans go a little later but they seem to have antique, historic and classic. Hope this makes sense Diane
DeleteGreat! I scrabble in Dutch :-) An d I also like wordfeud. You too?
ReplyDeleteHi there and thanks for the visit. I have not tried Wordfeud but will have a look at it. Diane
