  1. Hello Diane,
I bet you must be happy with the tiling finished!
A like this photo of the ladybird 'taking care' of the aphids, a great helper in you garden; I hope have many of them!
The Charente river is magnificent, it must be lovely to walk along its banks.
Keep well dear friend and enjoy your day... quite dull here :(

    1. Hi Noushka, the tiling has been the worry of our life for the past 2 years! The first guy messed us around so much that we eventually found a second guy to do the job. I think in fact it did us a favour as I am sure the second tiler's work is much better. We still had to wait another 5 months though when we found this man as he is so busy. Anyway now it is done and hopefully we will get to enjoy the area this summer!
We have very few ladybirds around sadly and this is the first one I have seen in two years, maybe though if there is one more will arrive :-)
Take care and take one day at a time, it must be very stressful for you at present. Big hugs Diane.

  2. That ladybug is an appealing little fellow. Sure hope you make it here, Diane, when you visit North America, and I will show you some great news - and you won't have to put up with all the hysteria about Idiot Trump.

    1. I also wish we had more ladybirds in our garden, they are very low in numbers around here! That 'lake' is in fact the River Charente, it is very wide and is is a 381-kilometre (237 miles) long. Thanks goodness the tiling is done it has been a long drawn out process!!! Have a good day Diane
