07/10/2016 Join us on a drive to Cognac.

Maximum temperature 19C, minimum 1C. 18 km/h NE wind. Dry.
Mmmmmmm - hogging the road.

West of Angouleme, a lake off the Charente River

Vineyards of Cognac...

As above.

Driving through the Charente valley.

The Abbey Bassac is just off the road - a place we have not yet visited.

Passing by the town of Jarnac.

Courvoisier cognac - another place we have not visited yet.

Arriving at the town of Cognac.

Watch out for the trees in the middle of the road.

One of the narrow streets of Cognac.
Nothing planned for the weekend, so will take you to a restaurant, and a tour of Chateau Cognac instead of a walk in the garden!

  1. The signs promoting the towns are very good. They show the character of each town. Nicely done.
