24/11/2016 A wet day to go shopping!

Maximum temperature 16C, minimum 9C.  76 km/h SE wind.  2 mm rain measured this morning. Rain on and off all day not measured yet.
Nigel went into the PO while I stayed in the dry of the car! I took these photos with the window down but it was raining lightly - the local church....

Pruning the trees in the street....

Putting up Christmas decorations - working with electricity in the rain!!!

Driving to the local supermarket on the main road they were cutting the grass edges on the other-side of the barrier in the rain!

Shopping at Leclerc - a secret shot; security do not like cameras!

Back home in a dry spell I spotted this fly on a calendula...

the only insect in view anywhere.

The rose is still holding its own, good for November.

I suddenly noticed this sky and shot out with the small camera in light rain...

and as I turned around this was behind me.  I did not have the wide angle lens so this is two photos.

  2. The good thing about rain is that the birds and insects don't mind, and it does the flowers and trees good! Your photos are brilliant, Diane!!! We had our first snow here in Montreal a few days ago and are getting our second snow today. :)

    1. Linda we do not see a lot of insects in winter but the birds certainly move in as they know there is food available here :-) You can keep your snow, beautiful to look at but how I hate the cold! Have a wonderful weekend Diane

  3. The sunset was just stunning, as is the rainbow.
I like your photo of the gentleman putting up the Christmas decorations - it will be very impressive when the lights are turned on.

  4. That marvelous rainbow was your gift for putting up with rain. Had rain here today and snow just to the north.
