The hawk is a beauty. Must be difficult playing scrabble in French.
ReplyDeleteDiane my French is terrible but I cope, I just move the letters around so that they look like a possible word then check the dictionary (everyone uses one), and more often that not one letter move and it is a word. Trouble is I usually have no idea what it means so it is not educational!!! Have a good weekend t'other Diane
DeleteThere is so much history in your local village. I always amazes me.
ReplyDeleteThe whole of France is historic and so many well restored buildings. We find things close by all the time that we have not seen before.
DeleteThe French Demarcation line which was the boundary line marking the division of Metropolitan France into the territory occupied and administered by the German Army during World War II pretty much runs past our house so there is much history that goes with it. Diane
I play Scrabble all the time. I suspect you would clean my clock in French!
ReplyDeleteCertainly not me, but Nigel is quite good as his French is reasonable, mine is useless so I guess what maybe any of my words!!! 37 different endings in verbs is waaaaaaaay beyond me! Diane
DeleteDo people often keep their windows shuttered? Great shot of the hawk.
ReplyDeleteMany of the homes are holiday homes or people who get away for winter, so then shutters would be closed to keep some warmth in. We close our shutters at night, not only warmer, but it keeps the room dark so if you want to sleep in......... Have a good Sunday Diane
