29/05/2017 Lacerta viridis out for a walk and a beautiful sunflower.

Maximum temperature 24C, minimum 15C.  6 km/h SW wind.  Light rain not measured yet.
Smile for the camera please...

Green Lizard (Lacerta viridis)...

I missed the quick sip he had in passing...


This is one of our smaller Green Lizards, but measuring the holder that the water is in, I would say this one is just on 30 cms (12 ins) long from nose to tail tip. 


and off into the bushes at the end of the railway sleeper.

    1. The sunflower is fun:-) If you put your hand out he would be gone. I move very slowly as they are extremely nervous, even though I think they do recognise me around now. Enjoy life, Diane

    1. Thanks Jo, I had never heard of LunaPic, it is amazing. The lizards are such delightful creatures and I have one follower who will not look when I put lizards on, they scare her! Hope you have a fantastic week.
