06/08/2017 A walk to the next hamlet where I am feeding our friends two cats while they are on holiday.

Maximum temperature 25C, minimum 13C.   13 km/h N wind with 32 km/h gusts.  Dry.
Blackberries.

 Badder campion.

Chicory.

Daisies and bug.

Thistle...

and gone to seed.

Gatekeeper butterflies were everywhere.

Think this is a Small heath.

Elderberries.

So difficult to take photos of, they just keep rubbing against my legs...

The one above wanting to play...

and this cat is even more affectionate and difficult to take photos of.

Dandelion clock.

Borage.

    1. They were two kittens born in a barn some years ago now, mother was either killed, or deserted them which I would doubt, and my friends brought them up from about a week old, bottle fed. They are the friendliest cats I have ever known and the blue eyed one is beautiful. The green eyed one though is my favourite, it seems to adore me and it has far more character, but impossible to photograph as it under my feet all the time!! Hope you have a good week Diane

  2. Where I grew up there were wild blueberries growing. I used to pick them and forage for mushrooms with my grandpa. How lucky you are to still see them.

    1. We still have mushrooms around here as well, but we will not eat them unless confirmed OK by our pharmacy, there a number of poisonous ones also which we do not know well.
Thanks so much for the comment, appreciated. have a great week Diane

  8. The blackberries remind me of my childhood, when wild berries were prolific. My grandmother used to send me out to pick them and I would always come back with juice all over my face from eating them as I picked. Always got enough for her to make jam though!
