On the road at sparrow to go to Soyaux for an appointment. Holiday season and the roads are light on traffic.
Crossing La Touvre river.
A pretty roundabout at Soyaux.
Some of the streets between Soyaux and Angouleme on the return trip...
as above...
In Angouleme, I am not sure which church this is.
This train was presumably touring the city but there were very few tourists inside.
Heading back home from Angouleme...
As above, note the metal lobster on the wall!
Going under the railway bridge.
Nearly home men at work.
I like the metal lobster on that wall!
ReplyDeleteWe also liked it interesting feature. Hope that all is well Diane
DeleteThese towns remind me so much of many of the towns we travelled through and bought baguettes in when we visited France three years ago.
ReplyDeleteThe areas have different features but so many are very similar. Hope these shots bring back good memories. Cheers Diane
DeleteBeautiful photos, Diane. I especially like the train and the metal lobster on the wall! Kisses, my friend.
ReplyDeleteThanks Mia, the train would be fun for tourists and the lobster is fun. Have a great day Diane
DeleteThe photo crossing the river is just lovely.
ReplyDeleteToday's photo was even better as we were on the same route yet again! Take care Diane
DeleteI feel as though I took this tour with you, Diane! Wonderful photos! Thank you so much for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoyed it, not always easy taking shots from a moving car with reflections on the windscreen. Take care, hope all is going to plan. Diane
DeleteBut of course! Things were "off-kilter"!
ReplyDelete'Twas the Full Moon!
:-))))
Now if only we could have seen it I would have been happy. Very stormy night! Have a good day Diane
DeleteThat's one of the huge benefits of setting off early, no traffic! As always merci beaucoup pour taking us along with you Diane ✨
ReplyDeleteEarly in August is not much of an advantage, the whole of France seems to go on holiday and the only people on the roads are mainly tourists. Cheers Diane
DeleteA very nice ride you took us on Diane. I do lovel the look of your French towns.
ReplyDeleteWe love France, so many historic buildings, just a shame that they are also building new ones that do not match the theme. Take care diane
