Maximum temperature 18C, minimum 12C. 13 km/h cold NW wind with 40 km/h gusts. 16 mm of rain overnight.
Not too far from home...
Sunflowers on the right now dried out. I guess they are waiting for the rain to stop so they dry properly and can be harvested.
La poste here is yellow not red like in the UK.
Crossing the railway line, only 3 trains a day and that could be stopped soon as well!
Narrow French roads.
Brico Leclerc...
and a close up of the reflection
Man at work. I took these photos while Nigel filled up with fuel.
The local car wash.
Fuel prices are going up again. These prices are €s per litre.
Reflections on the Supermarket sign.
Inside this was advertising Leclerc Heyo in store purchasing assistant. A download for your phone (if you have one!) to check prices, where things are in the shop, and check shopping as you go etc - all beyond me!! Not sure what the car is for, maybe a prize!
Taponnat-Fleurignac, driving through on the way home.
Back home this solitary bee was on a weed in the lawn.
I love it when you show us your local areas.
ReplyDeleteI always think I may be boring as we do not often go far afield but I do try to take different views. Keep well Diane
DeleteI often see photos of sunflower fields in full bloom but I don't think I've ever seen one where they are dried. It reminds me of the purpose of growing sunflowers I guess - the seeds!
ReplyDeleteYes sunflowers are grown for their seed but oh what a lovely sight for us all to see meanwhile :-) Cheers Diane
DeleteI love seeing pics of your home through your eyes. Wow....narrow streets.
ReplyDeleteMost of our roads in the country are pretty narrow, no fun when large trucks or tractors are coming in the opposite direction and impossible to pass if going the same way!!! Take care Diane
DeleteI love all the views and streets in your photos, Diane! And the bee is lovely!
ReplyDeleteThanks Linda as always for the kind comment. Take care and I hope all is well Diane
DeleteWhat a beautiful town you live in, Diane. I loved the bee on the weed the most. Have a great day. Jo
ReplyDeleteJo we do not actually live in a town. We are in a hamlet of only 10 houses. Our local village though is beautiful. Take care Diane
DeleteOh, Diane, once again I say you guys live in a great place. And, your photos are always so lovely. :)
ReplyDeletexoxo
Thanks Sally I have to agree we do live in a lovely place :-) Thanks for the kind comment. Have a good weekend Diane
DeleteThat narrow road, through town. Wow!!!! :-)
ReplyDeleteWhy will the railroad, no longer be used?
The narrow road is a back road and is between two houses, yes it is very narrow, not sure I would like to live in either house though!!
DeleteThe rail only has 3 small trains a day and the up keep of the track is very high. The powers that be think that it is not worth the upkeep. The few people who use it are complaining but will it be enough? We shall see. Have a great weekend Diane
Hi Diane. My favourite photo today is the bee on the pretty flowering weed. You lead a very interesting life.
