11/06/2018 A few more photos from the weekend.

Maximum temperature today 21C, minimum 15C.    Rainfall, 8 mm last night; 16 km/h North Westerly winds with up to 36 km/h gusts.
Total rainfall since 1st January; 634 mm.  Rain around still.

Bombylius species (Bee-fly), on the lavender.

Bumblebee on the cotoneaster.

Small tortoiseshell on the cotoneaster (Aglais urticae)

Mrs sparrow, (Passer domesticus)  smelling the lilies...

  7. Gorgeous photos, Diane. I get the impression that your garden is absolutely wonderful - our is a jungle at the moment as I'm having to keep out of the sun for a couple of weeks or so - and no alcohol, even on my birthday! Bloody tics!

    1. Richard we have so many weeds after all the rain, and there is no way I can keep up, especially as there are a lot of seedlings coming up in the flower bed. Hard to differentiate between mixed seedlings and weeds!!!

      Oh dear, the no alcohol is bad enough but on your birthday, hope you had/have a fabulous day despite the Lymes.
