ReplyDeleteI have been havong roses for the past 6 weeks!! We also love green beans, looking at the quantity it is good that we do :-) Have a good day Diane
DeletePretty flowers. The poppies are always my favorite as I don’t get to see them but rarely. Great close-ups on the grasshopper. Fantastic detail. Wonderful that you grow your own produce. I still remember how great my dad’s runner beans were.
ReplyDeleteUsually I only have Californian poppies, suddenly this year I only have red ones! A very patient grasshopper :-) Keep well Diane
DeleteBeautiful flowers from your garden! Good looking grasshopper but can be very hungry one too! I love haricot vert and we call them French beans.
ReplyDeleteYou are right the grasshoppers can bevery hungry..... In England we also call them French beans but here they are haricot vert. Take care Diane
DeleteThose beans look crispy and fresh. I love your bloom and grasshopper series. Enjoy your summer. We're starting to climb out of winter in about a month, please God!
ReplyDeleteYou leaving winter means we are heading for it and I do not want to be reminded LOL. The beans are fabulous and at last the rest of the garden, although late this year, is starting to look better. Take care Diane
DeleteI love red poppies. I don't have any but I have red zinnias. I got a pack of seeds of Scarlet Red Zinnias since that is what mom loves and I could not find starters of any. Great job on all the flowers.
ReplyDeleteI am hoping these will reseed for next year. I usually have masses of zinnia but I did not find any seed this year! Must look harder for next year :-) Keep well Diane
DeleteGorgeous photos, Diane! Love calendula and the delicate scalloped tips of the petals. All the flowers are beautiful and that's a great close up of the good looking guy! :-)
ReplyDeleteHi Pam delighted to hear from you, hope all is well. The petals on the calendula are so pretty and yes that guy was very patient while I took photos. LOL. Take care and best wishes Diane
DeleteWhen I had a garden, and family, I couldn't can enough pickled green beans.
ReplyDeleteI generally curry and bottle the extra beans but that will probablu only start nest week. We are manageing to keep up with the eating at present! Take it easy and enjoy your trip. Diane
DeleteGorgeous images again Diane.. hope my red poppies that I planted this weekend look as good as this in spring 🌺 haricot beans with salmon is one of my fav dinners, hope you are having a good weekend ✨
ReplyDeleteHaricot and salmon is a great combination. At this stage though they are combined with what ever is going and every day :-) Looking forward to seen a photo of your poppies in spring. Everything in the garden is late this year so I am hoping that Autumn is not too early! Keep well Diane
