2019 as we saw it, month by month through the year. Happy Christmas.

January 30th  Driving through France in the snow on our way back from the UK

February 7th - Early lambs.

March 20th - Sunset.

April 13th - A visit from a Bank Vole (Myodes glareolus).

May 22nd -  Butterfly (Coenonympha arcania).

June 17th - Common Wall Lizard, (Podarcis muralis).

July 19th - Little owl on the barn roof,  (Athene noctua).

August 18th - Michael and Mary arrived at Angouleme Station from the USA.

September 30th - Cosmos in the garden.

October 18th - Red-fronted tinkerbird (Pogoniulus pusillus) on holiday in South Africa.

November 4th - Elephants having fun  Holiday South Africa.

December 18th - Christmas at our local supermarket back in France.

  7. Hi Diane - lovely photos and selection thereof ... I particularly liked the Bank Vole, while the Little Owl looks like its eyeing you wistfully for a cuddle or maybe mouse equivalent! The Tinkerbird is one I haven't noted, or come across before - delightful little thing. Have a happy Christmas - perhaps you're back here ... in the wet of England ... cheers Hilary

    1. Hi Hilary, no we are in France, our very first Christmas here. FIL has gone into a home for a month while my SIL goes home to Ozz for Christmas. She will return to care for him next year. N and I cannot cope, he does not know who we are anymore. All the very best Diane

  9. It's hard to equate France with snow even though I know you get winter. Lovely photo choices from the past year. I am partial to seeing Mary and Micheal's smiling faces, and the elephants.

    1. Glad the post card arrived, I suspect the time all the cards took that they went by carrier pigeon!! Easy to equate France with snow for me, but I was always surprised to see snow on occasions in Johannesburg!

      Wish we were there to give you a hug in person but the thought is there. Have a good Xmas and a very healthey 2020. Diane
