    1. Thanks so much David for your very kind comments, so appreciated. We are doing our best to stay safe and will continue to do what we can for sometime to come yet. Hope all is well with you both as well. The inconvenience is worth putting up with for a bit longer. Diane

  2. Beautiful flowers and critters Diane. Do you mean to say that these were all in the garden in the month of April? If so, your growing season started much earlier than mine. Our season is a few weeks late I think too since I see from my photos last year that my patio garden was much further ahead. It's okay though as I'm not in a rush. I will enjoy the blooms whenever they come. Enjoy your weekend. xx

    1. Hi Penny, yes all these were taken in April. We are always, I would think, ahead of you but this year we had a particularly mild winter. The weather is still weird though with masses of rain and next week a cold spell is forecast. I only hope we do not get frost!! Stay well and take care, Diane

    1. Diane it is not too bad, we have a reasonable size house and a big garden so we can keep busy. The last week has not been good with the return of a cold spell but tomorrow it is looking up again. Hope all is well t'other Diane

  8. Sorry for the late visit, Diane - I've been very busy. Your framed flower images are fabulous from both a technical and artistic point of view. Your macro work is excellent and delightful too. Clearly, your garden is far more productive than mine!

I hope that all is well with you, and am pleased to see that you are getting out a bit - we have still not had that pleasure for nearly two months now. With my very best wishes to you both - - - Richard

    1. Hi Richard sorry for the even later reply!! Thanks for the kind comment. We have quite a good size garden but it is also hard work!! Getting out has not been great, we were only allowed in a 1 km radius and there is little choice within that range. As from 11 May I can now walk a bit further :-)

Keep well and stay safe, good wishes to you both Diane

  11. Remarkable photos ... every insect comes alive through your skill! And you know how I love taking pictures of flowers ... yours are fantastic. April was a wonderful Spring month for you! I especially loved the lilacs (could almost sense the beautiful aroma!). Apparently I missed those blooms here in Oregon as I haven’t seen them since we got home last month.

  20. Those flowers are so vibrant in color. I really like them a lot. The caterpillar is nicely caught as well. I never seem to have luck with these types of shots.
