As always your photos of critters and flowers are beautiful. Have a wonderful day.
ReplyDeleteThanks Nancy for the kind comment. Hope that all is well in your part of the world. Cheers Diane
DeleteGreat shots! I especially love the one with the bee flying.
ReplyDeleteHi Pam I also like that shot, Thanks for the visit, I hope all is well. Diane
DeleteI always enjoy the blooms, birds and insects you feature. The sunflower with the bee is my favourite this time. Such a beautiful post.
ReplyDeleteThanks Marie sunflowers are such happy flowers they always make me smile. I have so many photos to go through I wonder if I am ever going to get them done!! Keeo well, Diane
DeleteYou rarely feature birds, Diane, so the Melodious Warbler is a real treat. I have seen this species but I am pretty sure not in France. Take your time getting caught up. We'll still be here when you do. Gros bisous de ton ami canadien. David
ReplyDeleteDavid I rarely put birds on this blog as I put them all on my bird blog, but that has so much catching up to do I decided that the odd one here was OK. I am just so far behind, and I have so many photos to go through, especially after the trip to La Rochelle. As I type this, I have another bucket full of quinces in the kitchen waiting to be peeled and sliced ready for preserving, they take so much time and this is now the 5th bucket and hopefully the last. I still have masses of apples to see to and then the figs will be next. It just goes on and on at this time of the year. We are lucky though we have plenty of food from the fruit and the vegetable garden to see us through most of winter.
ReplyDeleteTake care and stay safe. Bisous Diane
It must be a challenge juggling more than one blog. Especially when buckets of quince get in the way!
DeleteMind blowing post
ReplyDeleteThanks for the visit and the comment. Hope all is well Diane
DeleteI love your bee pics. But all the shots are great. I understand about you being so busy, tis the time of yr. I bet that garden is really producing....awesome.
ReplyDeleteBoth vegetable garden and fruit trees are keeping me busy at the moment, it never seems to let up, but it also means that we have plenty of food for over winter :-) Thanks for the visit, Diane
DeleteHaving that put away is always nice. Plus, I bet you love being out and messing around in the gardens....ENJOY while you can before the cool temps set in.
DeleteAmazing collection of bugs and birds and flowers. I see your temps are the same as ours now. You in Autumn and us in Spring.
ReplyDeleteWe have had a few warmer days but summer this year has been much colder than normal! Everyone else has been complaining about the heat, South Africa though tell me that they had a very cold winter!! Keep well and lucky you going into summer, I will never learn to enjoy winter! T'other Diane
DeleteGreetings, Diane! Another beautifully captured and presented series of flowers, fruit and insects. I must compliment you too on your all-round ID skills - impressive! Your Melodious Warbler has me green with envy as I have never knowingly seen one and almost certainly would not recognise it as one if I did happen upon one!
ReplyDeleteDon't worry about catching up, Diane - winter is on its way with short days and long nights, and you'll have something in reserve to keep you occupied and us enthralled!
Best wishes to you and Nigel. Stay safe - - - Richard
ID is not always easy but I try. The Warbler, when I took the photo, I had no idea what I was taking. It took me some time when I got home to work out what it was!!!! The plants are so much easier to ID than the wildlife.
DeleteI am banking on winter and being able to catch up, but then the days are shorter so not as much time. Getting up in the cold takes so much longer!!!
Keep well, all the best to you both and the family, Diane
Outstanding photos Diane, always very much enjoyed. Thank you and all the best :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Denise, I have a lot of catching up to do!! Hope all is well over there, Diane
DeleteNature is amazing.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos!
I could not agree more. I hope that all is well with you. Diane
DeleteAmazing and fabulous images! So glad I discovered your blog after your visit.
ReplyDeleteThank you for this!
Have a beautiful week, Diane!
Thanks Suzana for the kind words. I hope that all is well in your part of the world. Take care Diane.
DeleteDiane, I feel that the only places were could be well in this present moment is in the missing Atlantida or on the top of the mountains... But I am a desperately optimistic person!
DeleteAll the best in your world!
I tend to agree with you. We are mainly over cautious but better that way methinks.
DeleteYour flowers and insects seem to be holding on even with the change in weather. Beautiful photography as always.
ReplyDeleteFlowers are still reasonable, we have been low on insects this year but there are still some around. The leaves though are coming down fast and the weather is changing! I hate winter. Keep safe and drive carefully, Diane
DeleteHi Diane - those are stunning ... and now I see my stupidity at trying to identify your Melodious Warbler from another of your blogs ... which is actually a Melodious Warbler ... silly me!! So pleased you let us know their names ... the garden must be a delight with these flying around encouraging you to stop for short time and look and take photos - wonderful ones too - cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteLOL I wondered where the Greenfinch comment had come from but I see you have sorted it out now. The garden is still holding to a degree, but the chill factor is moving in and the lawn is covered in yellow leaves!!!
DeleteKeep safe and have a good weekend coming up. Cheers Diane
Your shot of the Cyclamen looks like it should be framed and in a gallery. Tell me if your husband finds and solutions for his arthritis. I am having quite a few problems and do not want to resort to medication.
ReplyDeleteI will certainly let you know. The Manuka honey has been an expensive project and so far no result but we have a friend who says for her it has been amazing so...... We tried pineapple as well to no avail. Cheers Diane
DeleteI am trying ginger and turmeric. I don't see any immediate effect.
DeleteYou are blessed with the prettiest butterflies. Beautiful photos.
