and I could not resist adding this incredible presentation from the main meal in one of our local restaurants of the French favourite 'Steak Tartare' last Friday. In the 'flower pot' was Ratatouille.

ReplyDeleteThese are wonderful photos of the flowers in your garden. Are these currently in flower, or are some from last year?
I don't believe that I've ever had 'Steak Tartare', but I think that I'd probably be tempted if that plate was put in front of me.
I'm now going to head over to your Bird Blog.
Best wishes to you both - - - Richard
Hi Richard, thanks for the visit. All these photos have been taken in the last ten days so definitely current. We do not have masses of colour, but there are more coming out every day at present.
DeleteI hope that all is well with you and the family. Keep warm, cheers Diane
The blooms, right down to the last on the steak are gorgeous. Spring is well underway there!
ReplyDeleteI have known frosts in May so I will only believe that spring is really here then!!! Meanwhile, I will enjoy what is available.
DeleteTake care and I hope that your back is now better, Diane
So many wonderful flowers. It's like you've had splashes of color all winter.
ReplyDeleteGaelyn there is always the odd flower out, but at the moment, I am seeing more colour each day. We are sure though to have another cold spell and a frost to upset the system. Hugs Diane.
DeleteHi! These are so beautiful. Spring is really something amazing to look forward to in the northern hemisphere! Lovely sunset, too :)
ReplyDeleteSpring is always welcome we both struggle to cope with winter, we lived in Africa for far too long!! Hope all is well. Cheers Diane
DeleteI envy you the blooms, Diane, as I look out to waist-deep snow in my backyard, but I could easily pass on steak tartare. Pass over the ratatouille, however, and I will dive right in!
ReplyDeleteWe had a very mild spattering of snow this year but it never settled, At the moment it is quite spring-like, but they cannot fool me - frosts are not finished with yet!!
DeleteI love ratatouille, but I equally like steak tartare, it has always been a favourite of mine, It is though a very personal choice of meal I agree.
Your spring will soon catch up with us I hope. Meanwhile, keep warm. Cheers Diane
Oh Oh Oh ... I love tartare - and that looks too delicious! Fantastic range of photos ... lovely to see all the plants with their descriptions - thank you. Now I'm hungry! Been looking at Ukrainian food history ... We're in relative warmth here above freezing mostly ... take care - Hilary
ReplyDeleteHi Hilary, that dish was so beautiful it seemed a shame to spoil it, but it was delicious. The weather here has turned wet again and with it, the temps have dropped, it looks like we have another 7 days of similar weather :-((
DeleteKeep safe, very best wishes Diane
Fabulous flower photos and the meal is beautifully presented. The French are so good at that. I couldn't eat raw meat though. In fact I hardly eat any meat these days.
ReplyDeleteHi Diane, we do not eat nearly as much meat as we used to, only a couple of times a week, but I enjoy Steak Tartare and if I see it in a restaurant I generally have it. The presentation though here was very special.
DeleteHope that all is well, keep safe, t'other Diane
Love seeing those blooms. Waiting for more to start popping out around here. Saw daffodils for the first time last week. Noticed some flowers starting to pop up out of the ground. So ready, just not ready for the season after spring. Summer drains me so badly. Thanks for sharing your pics.
ReplyDeleteI cannot wait for spring and summer I just cannot handle the cold weather! Thanks so much for the comment. Keep well and take care. Diane
DeleteGreat shots! Love the presentation of the steak tartare...very cool.
ReplyDeleteThanks Pam, it was almost too pretty to eat but....... Hope that all is well with you. Keep safe Diane
DeleteThank you for these beautiful pictures that colored my day.
ReplyDeleteIncredible and artistic the presentation of this meat meal.
Have a nice weekend
Thanks Maria, spring is on its way at last :-) I hated to spoil that meal presentation but......
DeleteKeep safe. Cheers Diane
Mind blowing pictures
ReplyDeleteThanks for the visit and the comment is always appreciated. Keep well, Diane
DeleteI am glad that you are back blogging. Miss your beautiful photos. Love the sunset and photos of the gorgeous flowers. I can see the cobweb on the cypress. Nice presentation from the restaurant.
ReplyDeleteHi Nancy thanks for the kind comment. I am taking photos but I just do not seem to find the time to edit them and blog but I am trying 😊 That presentation was very special, it seemed such a shame to spoil it!
DeleteKeep well, spring is on its way here so photos will be easier! Cheers Diane
These are great Diane, enjoyed each photo and I am always impressed with the artistry in food. I also am happy to see you blogging again :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Denise. I might get better about blogging once it gets a bit warmer. Easier to find subjects then than in winter. The garden and the insects all wake up while in winter I only have the birds, and as much as I love them I do not have the time to sit for hours waiting for a good shot, and anyway they go on my bird blog. Keep well Diane
DeleteThose are some beautiful skies!
ReplyDeleteThanks very much, Cheers Diane
