The maximum temperature here today is 18⁰C, minimum 13⁰C. South-West winds of 24 km/h with gusts up to 53 km/h. We have now had our annual rainfall and it is still raining as I type this. Rain is now forecast for every day for as far as the forecast shows. It is starting to get boring.

It might be very wet there, Diane, as it is here too, but I wish we could have some of your warmth - if only to keep down the heating bills!
ReplyDeleteLovely photos, as always, but I was very impressed by your capsicums. They look beautiful but are, sadly, something that I have to avoid as I have an explosive intolerance!
That sunset is fabulous.
My very best wishes to you both - stay safe - - - Richard
We have though a stone house with metre thick walls, it is cold even when the temperatures are in the high 30's. I thank our lucky stars we have a good wood burner but the price of wood has shot up. I run the radiators only from 8am until 10 am and again at 4pm for a couple of hours, the last oil fill was a ridiculous price.
DeleteWe are both chilli fans and if cooking for only the two of us they are in almost every meal :-)))
Keep well and take care, both of you. Cheers Diane
Yes, it is sooooo wet in Europe. Tomorrow, the weather here will be slightly better. Then, we can see the sun. Do you know which photo I find the most beautiful? The sheep. It's so photogenic. Warm regards from us.
ReplyDeleteThanks Arieth for the comment, it really is time now that the rain eased off a bit!! Glad that you like our neighbour :-) Best wishes to you and the family. Diane
DeleteSo much rain and sloppy snow sometimes here. It has turned cold too. Great photos regardless of the weather, Diane.
ReplyDeleteThank you Marie. The temperatures here have dropped, but not seriously enough to have snow or frost yet but I guess it will happen, Keep warm, Diane
DeleteNice weather there...we have been having tons of rain over here and I don't see it's going to end soon..the birds are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThe rain seems to be widespread, I have wondered if we should not go and buy a boat!! I hope all is well, cheers Diane
DeleteGreat photos! It's especially fun to see the different types of fungus.
ReplyDeleteHi Pam, good to hear from you. This year with all the rain seems to be a good year for fungi. Wish I was good at ID but I am sadly not so I leave well alone. Cheers Diane
Bisous mon ami, Diane
DeleteI agree Diane. The rain (and wind) are very boring and frustrating for those of us who like to get out into the countryside to look, learn and to photograph. It can only get better I hope. I grew some peepers this year - "Ring of Fire", too hot to eat but a nice show of tiny red peppers.
ReplyDeleteHi Phil, I looked up Ring of Fire on the scoville scale and they are between 70,000 and 80,000 so yes quite hot. The cayenne we use quite a lot is only 30,000 to 50,000, but we also grew Habenero this year which I handle with care they are150,000 to 32,500 🌶️😊,
DeleteThere seems to be very few breaks in the rain, today here was supposed to be dry, but we had a shower an hour ago!
Take care and keep dry, Cheers Diane
Awesome photos. We had a tropical cyclone with strong winds and rain.
ReplyDeleteThe weather has been awful and if the forecast is anything to go by we are not going to get much better in a hurry. Keep well, cheers Diane
DeleteLove, love, love that holly picture! There are so many challenges to getting the perfect photograph, that is what makes the good ones really special.
ReplyDeleteThanks very much, the holly has been fantastic this year, maybe as we have had so much rain over the last 2 months. Cheers Diane
DeleteAlways enjoy looking at your pics. Great job as always.
ReplyDeleteThanks Pam, I hope all is going well for you moving is never easy. Take care Diane
DeleteWonderful photos Diane, that first one spoke to me today :) I love grasses! All great photos, very enjoyable! Enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteThank you Denise for the visit and the comment. I love the pampas, but with all the rain this year it is looking a little sad, when I took that photo I brought some inside so I still have some that look good! Keep well Diane
DeleteSorry to hear of your continued rain. Join the Club! I like the look of your local town/village. Not a supermarket or McDonalds in sight, just local people and old fashioned service I guess.
ReplyDeleteThis rain is really getting me down now, when it does stop I guess then we will heavy frosts! Roll on spring.:-))))
DeleteOur local town has been around a very long time Phil, and has quite a history. Roman objects have been found in the town: coins, urns, gold medals, sarcophagi. Chasseneuil was surrounded by two Roman roads which went from east to west and passed less than 2 km from the current centre.
Behind me in the photo there are two supermarkets, the one has been around many years and fits into the town perfectly, The other is Lidl, but it is on the outskirts so does not really spoil the place too much and it is not as flamboyant as some. We do not have a McDonalds thank goodness.
Take care, Diane
Looks like all the rain is keeping you in October flowers.
ReplyDeleteWe had two nice days over the weekend and the rain has returned!!! Hugs, Diane
DeleteBeautiful sunset and I love the pretty birds. Stay awayfrom funny mushrooms.
ReplyDeleteYes I have to agree I would rather look at them than eat them!!! Cheers Diane
DeleteYour neighbours are very nice.
ReplyDeleteYou are right, better to not risk with the mushrooms.
Have a nice week end.
LOL we love our neighbours but I wish they would keep the flies in their field and not send them to us!! At least now it is winter so the fly population seems to have vanished. I agree unless one knows what they are doing with mushrooms best left well alone! Hope you are feeling better now. Cheers Diane
DeleteBeautiful post
ReplyDeleteThanks very much. Diane
DeleteLovely sunset, and I adore the lovely birds.
ReplyDeleteThanks very much for the kind comment. Diane
DeleteUn petit coucou voisine.
ReplyDeleteBisous.
J'espère que tout va bien.
Tout va bien, merci. Juste très occupé !! Bisous Diane
