The temperatures are due to drop tomorrow and the rain returns on Wednesday
Mr Blackbird (Turdus merula)...

He got no further than paddling ....

when along came Mr Sparrow  (Passer domesticus)

who he chased away in no uncertain manner!

A questioning look?

I planted pansies in this pot, they are no more!

Blue tit acrobatics (Cyanistes caeruleus)

Back to normal.

Great Tit stretching (Parus major) ....

and just looking around.

and the secretive Dunnock looking over the top (Prunella modularis).  I seldom see this little bird as it hides in the bushes most of the time.

05/12/2016 A little of today and some of yesterday

Maximum temperature 16C, minimum 6C. 49 km/h SW wind.   No rain.

I am have endless problems with Google freezing and having to retype and reboot, so please forgive me if I miss some days on my blog.  I will be away from 12 December until January minus a computer, so again there will in all likelihood be a break except for the odd photo that may get loaded via my Nexus 10 (similar to an iPad)
Our very shy little Dunnock....

Photos taken through the window,

The roses have not given up yet....

as above.

The quad bikes returning from a rally yesterday...

one parked by the church...

and the repas (luncheon) afterwards all in aid of AFMTelethon.  It is a charitable event organised against Myopathies (AFM) to finance research projects on genetic diseases neuromuscular primarily, but also other rare genetic diseases.

24/10/2016 A trip into Angouleme, a couple of birds, but WOW what a sky.

Maximum temperature 18C, minimum 13C.  39 km/h SE wind. 16 mm of rain last night, very welcome.
Autumn colours in the garden.

The very shy Dunnock - Prunella modularis

Great tit at the window...

as above...

and having a complaint by the look of it :-)

Rain en route to Angouleme...

and coming back home!

Nigel called me this evening for a great sunset, but behind it was even more spectacular...

I ran around the hamlet trying to get the best photo...

and the best light...

with the little camera...

I could not get it all in...

By the time I ran inside to get the wide angle lens the light had changed and the rainbow was fading.

Never the less the sky behind was still pretty spectacular with the setting sun in an orange glow.
