10/07/2017 A walk in the garden and I got wet!

Maximum temperature 22C, minimum 14C.   35 km/h SW winds. 18mm rain measured this morning but we have had more rain since.

Tabanus autumnalis Diptera -Tabanidae Horse-fly

They have a very nasty bite!!!!  This particular fly was about 40mm long at a guess (1¾  inches) it was huge.

Fly on the thyme flowers

A very small hoverfly also on the thyme.

Shield bug.

Leek flower with insect.

21/06/2017 A few early photos before it got too hot!

Still forecast hotter for tomorrow!  Note it says 36C feels like 43C !!!!

Mr Sparrow looking somewhat disgruntled but I don't know why.

Even the bees are thirsty in this heat.

as above on what I suspect is a weed!

Even the lizards are only coming out early and late.
