25/02/2019 Trying to catch up..........

Maximum temperature today 20C, minimum 5C.  Dry;  🌞
10km/h South-easterly winds with gusts up to 19 km/h.

Sorry I have not left the planet but just been busy with other things.  Hard not to be outside in this weather.  It looks like it is set in for another few days then the rain arrives (which is not bad), and the temperature drops, but not so that it is freezing.

Out for a drive - the trees are still bare but this weather is bringing on buds, hope they do not all get killed off. There must be another frost this year...

Reflections driving by...

And looking across which may be winter wheat.  Note the wind turbines in the background πŸ˜’

When we returned I went out for a walk but the lambs just captivated me and I took lots of photos...
Inquisitive...

At the milk bar...

Now, who is the king of the castle...

Oh, who cares let us play instead...

Run and jump...

Kick up my heels...

Wow that was fun πŸ‘

A little more subdued and these are a bit older...

Twins maybe?

Mistletoe.

Calves.

Dandelion.

Not sure what this is but it is pretty!

Wild violets.

Neighbours moving a log it seems.

and overhead,

17/0212019 A walk around the garden.

Maximum temperature today 17C, minimum 6C.  Dry;  🌞
22km/h South-easterly winds with gusts up to 42 km/h.

I was delighted to see the first bee of 2019 on the broccoli that has gone to flower 🌞...

As above...

As above...

As above...

Crocuses...

and a yellow one.

Common Field-speedwell - (Veronica persica) note the tiny beetle but far too small for identification.

Lawn daisy (Bellis perennis).

The rising moon over our neighbour's barn...

As above.

07/02/2019 Not doing very well at keeping up!!!

Maximum temperature today 11C, minimum 5C.  45mm rain measured so far this year;  last year ended up as 1001 mm.  19km/h South-westerly winds with gusts up to 38 km/h.

Spring has sprung but I am sure the cold will return!
They are all over the place with many more to arrive yet.

Looking on.

Are you looking at me?

Just surveying the view.

Whispering in Mum's ear...

Hey, are you listening to me...

Obviously not...

Oh, I give up...

Now, where shall I go?

At the milk bar.

04/04/2016 Neighbours and pot making!

Maximum temperature 17C, minimum  6C.    39 km/h S winds.  4 mm rain measured this morning.
Our neighbour's lambs growing up.

Another neighbour spreading manure,

Log pile and a friend's house in the distance.

Dandelions taking over !

Wonder what crop is going in here?

Still wet tracks around.

Hogging the road :-)

Pot making.  This was brought about after seeing Kerry's post on Plus Tranquille
She has a special bit of equipment and her pots appear to be much smaller than mine, but I am happy with my results.  Plants can be planted in the paper, which will later disintegrate.

Newspaper  is best, so I gather.  Cut paper large enough to go around the former (I used a glass) and fold the top over twice to give support to the top of the pot.

Roll it loosely around a former, remember it has to slide off!   Folded edge towards the bottom of the glass.

I used a small strip of sticky paper to hold it easily.

Fold the end into the open glass....

Take the glass out and turn it over, pressing the bottom of the glass onto the folded end to flatten it and keep it together.
I see there are a number of places where you can buy the real thing, and maybe they will work better, but for me this is appears to be doing the job well enough.
