I should have taken a before of the greenhouse but didn't!! All the weeds that were growing between the pavers are now dead and the the house is clean, ready, and waiting for seeds to be planted.
The carpenter bee is a beautiful colour. Never seen a purple bee before.
ReplyDeleteThey are beautiful bees and great that they seldom sting :-) Have a good day Diane
DeleteLots of life in your yard. Love the greenhouse.
ReplyDeleteI need to get out there now and do some planting but today it is just solid rain!!! Keep well Diane
DeleteHello Diane,
ReplyDeleteInsects and lizards are all over the place now and it is a sure sign that spring is upon us!
That first photo is wonderful and your whole post is very sunny!!
Warm hugs and enjoy the end of the week :)
Thanks for your reply Diane,
DeleteYes, I think it has to do go with Google + but like you, I don't link this blog to G+.
I have a second problem though, when I click on G+ at the end of the post to share it on my Google + page, I see the name of another blogger appear instead of 1000-pattes, although if one clicks on the photo it actually does bring back to my post on Blogger.
Can't figure that one out either...!
Take care :)
Hi Noushka, spring vanished today and it has not stopped raining, yet again!!! I love the carpenter bees and the wings are so pretty when the sun catches them. The weekend is nearly here but now we are retired it does not make much difference :-) Keep well and take care big hugs Diane
DeleteGreat shot of the Carpenter Bee. At a first glance it cou,d be mistaken for a species of Bluebottle Fly.
ReplyDeleteIt could never be mistaken in real life they are four times the size of a bluebottle. It was good to see them yesterday and there was at least 4 or 5 flitting around in the beans. Trouble is they do not keep still or they are buried inside a flower!! Have a good day Diane
DeleteBeautiful carpenter bee. Your garden is so alive with flowers and bees and lizards. I also noticed a lot of honey bees in my garden, attracted by the flowers in full bloom.
ReplyDeleteNoncy it is great that the insects are coming back, sure sign of it warming up. I will be happy though when we have a few more sunny days! Have a good one Diane
