22/05/2016 Very wet day. Out for a walk last evening. .

Maximum temperature 16C minimum 8C.   43 km/h NW wind.  26mm rain measured this morning. Rain most of the day.
I went for a walk yesterday late afternoon so this post is 24 hours late!
I love these forest walks.

Campion I think.

Post Red squirrel, it was gone before I lifted the camera but I loved the hanging creepers.

Montemboeuf in the distance.

Two well cared for horses in a steep paddock.

Well, used now as a post box.

A mystery hole in a wall - drainage of some kind?

The Lavoir at Le Grand Jauniat.
(Where the washing used to be done before the days of washing machines!)

Dandelion clock.

Hawthorn, note the Longhorn beetle.

The old bridge at Vitrac.

  1. Hi Diane, I would love to join you in your walks. There are so many beautiful and interesting things to see on your walks.

    1. Nancy it amazes me each time I go out I seem to find another route and see something I have not seen before!! I love the walks here. It would be great if you could join me Diane

  2. The forest looks wonderfully lush and green.

    1. Not surprising with the amount of rain we have had. I only hope it rains while we are away so I do not get back to a burnt up garden! Diane

  3. 26mm of rain is certainly a very handy drop.

    1. We have had more since. The rain is good, but the wind was quite another story. Blew everything all over the place! Have a good day Diane

  4. Never going to get green like that without rain! Very nice.

    Cheers - Stewart M - Melbourne

    1. We have had so much rain this year, I guess maybe better too much than a drought, but it has its problems as well! Cheers Diane
