  1. Such a gorgeous and refreshing post, Diane! I absolutely love all the birds in your lovely photos! I have seen many robins and sparrows here in Montreal, but even so, I never tire of seeing and watching them. Birds, and your posts and lovely photos, bring me much joy.

  3. Hello dear Diane,
WOW, great array of passerine birds in your garden!
All still local ones, we should soon get the migratory birds from the north.
It always surprises me that this wagtail is called "grey" in English... in French it is another species: the White wagtail called "Bergeronnette grise"!! Go figure!
What a beautiful juvenile with its pinkish breast.
It's raining today so no photo outings!
Keep well and enjoy your WE :)

    1. Thanks for that Info Noushka, strange that it should be another species as my bird book is Europe and does not mention it!! We had 32mm of rain over the weekend which was very welcome. Keep warm, 0C here this morning! Hugs Diane

  4. Always makes me laugh that the first thing you notice about Grey Wagtails is the yellow! And Pied Wagtails look Grey!

    Nice set of pictures.

    1. Thanks Stewart, many names with colours in them are misleading I find. Thanks for the comment. Cheers Diane
