13/06/2017 Just in the garden again!

Maximum temperature 29C, minimum 12C. 13 kmh SE wind.  Dry, but rain forecast for later.  Lots of thunder around.
Large yellow rest harrow (I think).

Meadow brown (Maniola jurtina)

Ladybird pupa...

and another one.

We seem to be over run with the Common red soldier beetle (Rhagonycha fulva)...

As above.

Rosemary beetle (Chrysolina americana)

The rose is still looking fabulous.

Vinca - we also have one with a variegated leaf but the flowers are over on it.

Tomato flowers.

Potato plants in flower.

Next doors pumpkin plants, ours are a few weeks behind these, I planted late!

  1. Gorgeous finds, Diane! Thank you so much for sharing, your posts and photos bring me much joy.

    1. Thanks Linda, hope you are having a good day Diane

  2. Every time I encounter soldier beetles it's like an orgy. Maybe they need a new name!

    1. Ha ha perhaps they all come home from battle at the same time! Cheers Diane

  3. This is my first time seeing a Ladybird pupa. The Rosemary beetle is beautiful. You not only have beautiful flowers in your garden, you also have so many types of critters in your garden.

    1. Sadly the rosemary beetle is a pest!!! We have a lot of insects in the garden some good and some bad. You need to train your eyes to see them. Diane
