  2. I love all the produce from your garden, Diane! And I can see why how the shield bug got its name! Gorgeous photos! And the bee in the pumpkin flower and ladybug captures are magical!

    1. Thanks Linda, the produce is coming in fast from the garden, it is a case of keeping up with it all! We do enjoy the result in winter though. I loved that bee in the pumpkin flower covered in pollen. Hope all is well Diane

  4. I love your photography, Diane, and am totally in awe of you managing to freeze the wing movement of that Humming-bird Hawk-moth. Incidentally, your shield bug is of a species commonly known in UK as a Dock Bug - why?, I don't know!

With my very best wishes - - - Richard

    1. Many thanks Richard, if I take enough photos of the Moth I must get one right from time to time :-) Just looked up the answer - It is commonly known as the dock bug as it feeds on the leaves and seeds of docks and sorrels. Now I know what is eating our sorrel!!!!
      Cheers Diane

Flies, one of those questions...? Why did flies evolve? And be here, to bedevil us? ??????????????????

    1. I have to agree Luna, I hate flies but I guess they must be here for a reason even if it is to annoy us :-)) Have a good day Diane

    1. Many thanks Denise. Firework displays in every town last night and tonight. At least everyone with animals knows the score so they can keep them shut in and safe. Diane
