23/07/2017 In the garden again!

Maximum temperature 23C, minimum 10C.   22 km/h SW winds with 25 km/h gusts. 6 mm rain measured this morning.
Blue tit. (Cyanistes caeruleus)

Think this is a Blue tit youngster just starting to change colour.

Great tit, possibly also a youngster. (Parus major)

Gatekeeper female.  (Pyronia tithonus)

I thought this was a large white, but looking again I do not think so. Possibly Pieris family but.....

Lady bird.

Bee on the thyme...

as above.

Bee on a zinnia.

Raspberries.

Roses.

Stargazer again... Sorry it only lasts for a short time so I am making the most of it!!!

  5. Hello Diane,
I just went through your recent posts and had a smile at your immature Black bird with it's blade grass in the beak! It is always funny to see youngsters playing with something useless and watching their clumsiness!
Your photos are great, that Gatekeeper is gorgeous so are the bees and flowers!
I am still busy sorting and preparing my spanish pics!
Keep well, I hope your are enjoying a better weather than me here!

    1. Hi Noushka, the black bird was so funny it was in and out of the water not knowing what to do, but it had no intentions of putting the grass down LOL
Looking forward to your Spanish photos.
No the weather is not that brilliant, there seems to be a chilly wind blowing regardless of the sun shining on and off between rain. Take care keep warm, hugs Diane

  7. If the Stargazer doesn't last long it sure makes up for that in its stunning beauty. I'm drooling over the raspberries.

    1. The stargazer is beautiful and given to me by our French neighbour some years ago. Luckily for me, Nigel makes raspberry coulis for me as the seeds give me diverticulitis!! Diane
