Sparrow happily splashing around...
but this miserable blackbird chased her away...
so three sparrows went further away to have fun...
splish splash...
when who comes along again and spoils it all!!!
Sparrow looking on from a higher point.
Away - just down the road twins are at the milk bar...
while a younger loner looks on.
Fritillary (Melitaea family) but I have no idea which one it is.
Jersey Tiger moth.
Unknown moth!!
As above.
Poppies and bug.
Possibly a small white butterfly but this seemed smaller than normal!!
This list seems to have a hint of Africa about to, what with the attractive bird bath and a butterfly that is reminiscent of a Zebra.
ReplyDeleteOur house inside also has a taste of Africa through out :-)) Cheers Diane
DeleteOh that gorgeous white butterfly! So very beautiful... Captured by your photo, for us to see/enjoy. I just love it!
ReplyDeleteOur poppies bloom much earlier, and are long gone now. -sigh-
and you can capture the splashing of birds in a bird bath! Great!!!!!
Sorry about your slow wi-fi. Is there no way to improve this? Probably not, or you would have had it done. No one has time or patience, to spend endless time, trying to do computer things....
Gentle hugs,
Luna Crone
Our poppies also bloom early, not sure what these few are still doing!
DeleteWe have pulled all strings re the WiFi but to no avail, we live in the country in a very small hamlet and we are not important enough. We are told maybe 3 to 4 years!!!!! One can hope.
Take care Diane
Another delightful series of photos Diane, love the milk bar :) and the birds enjoying themselves. That bird bath is a work of art, lovely!
ReplyDeleteHa ha, I felt quite sorry for that cow with two large babies pushing her around but she was very patient.
DeleteAfrican stone work is beautiful.
Take care Diane
Isn't nature wonderful? I loved all your photos.🐝🌷🌼🐇
ReplyDeleteI wish you a wonderful week,in every way.😂
Geraldine you are so right, nature is beautiful but it also has its dark side at times!! Hope you also have a great weekend Diane
DeleteHi Diane. Lovely photos from your garden. Ha ha..that's a very naughty blackbird, spoiling the fun for the sparrows. Beautiful and healthy looking cows. My favourite is the small white butterfly. Have a wonderful new week!
ReplyDeleteThat small white butterfly was dancing along next to me as I walked then suddenly it shot ahead and posed so beautifully. Have a great week Diane
DeleteIncredible images Diane, the bathing birds are a delight, why is there always a bigger bird that comes along and spoils the fun :) amazing shot of the 'milk bar' 😀
ReplyDeleteThat blackbird was particularly stroppy trying to peck the small birds if they came close! Not often you see twins that big still at the milk bar but they had a very good mother obviously.
DeleteHave a fab week Grace. Take care Diane
Love the sculpture/bird bath. That is one HUGE cow.
ReplyDeleteOne huge cow and two pretty large calves as well!!!! Hope all is well Diane
