19/08/2017 My Birthday lunch.

Maximum temperature 22C, minimum 10C.   7 km/h NW wind with 23 km/h gusts.  14 mm rain measured.

I had intended doing a better post than this today, but my computer has just taken two hours to update and now I am ready for bed so here are just a few photos taken at the restaurant.
I will catch up with comments tomorrow.
The restaurant, La Bonnieure, in our local town. 


We were early and picked a seat in the sun in the garden.

Loved the watering can fountain with the water going into the fish pond.

A wood carved bear in the garden.

Camembert starter for me - huge helpings!

and Nigel's salmon starter!

    What a beautiful outdoor patio. I love all of the green. It feels so peaceful and fresh.

    Congratulations on your 39th birthday! I must say you look quite fetching. And while I am sure the salmon starter was delicious whatever is on there looks like a slug!!

    Happy belated birthday Diane, what a scrumptious way to celebrate, the name of the restaurant alone would fill one with confidence of a super lunch.. oh my goodness, baked camembert.. now drooling 😀

      Ha ha Grace, and whats more two baked Camembert, delicious, but really one would have been plenty. I followed this with Steak tatare which I love, but again the helping was on the large side, I should have doggy bagged it. I won't even mention the banana split!!!!!!! Diane
