23/04/2017A few photos from the garden.

Maximum temperature today 21C, minimum 11C.   2 mm of rain measured from early this morning; 9 km/h North Easterly winds with up to 25 km/h gusts.

Bluebells.

Peony.  This is the first time this plant has flowered. Interesting it was sold to us a blue and double!!! We were had!

Tulips - doing well still.

Viola.

Common lizard, it was very nervous and I could not get very close.

The garden today.

and how it looked only 23 days ago!! Huge change.

  3. Today we rivalled you for temperature (20.5C), but our flowers still lag behind. Give it a few more days. Lots of butterflies, however......Milbert’s Tortoiseshell, Eastern Comma, Mourning Cloak......all good signs of spring.

    1. I have only seen small whites so far, all our insects seem to be keeping under cover so far this year very few aoundother than flies!!! Keep well Diane

    1. The only reason there are no weeds is I have just cut the lawn and we have dug a lot of weeds out as well. There are masses of them!! Tale care Diane
