A couple of days back the bees took a liking to our roof, it seems that they have now moved in. Unfortunately, the roof is quite new and not easily moved, so not sure how the Bee man is going to move them. Could be an expensive exercise!!

Maybe the bee man can charm the bees out. They are usually quite skilled with manipulating wildlife. If they are honeybees here, some will capture the hive for free. They want the bees. Life is good sometimes.
ReplyDeleteHi Ann it will not be for free, but I am just hoping they do have to disturb the roof too much. Not sure if they are honey bees, we will find out when the been man arrives, Have a good week Diane
DeleteYou are being invaded by Hymenoptera, Diane. I can’t get enough detail on the bees in the roof to tell whether they are honey bees, but if they are some grateful bee keeper should be happy to come and capture the swarm. Not the kind of problem you wish to deal with.
ReplyDeleteI have no intentions of getting anywhere near it!! The bee man is coming tomorrow so we should know more. We had trouble with that roof leaking and it was fixed recently, that is our biggest worry! Enjoy your seek Diane
DeleteOh my....but at least up high so as not to run into them when walking around the yard. But according to your pics you seem to see your share of them to photograph! Great job as usual.
ReplyDeleteThere are plenty of bees around, but we certainly do not need a swarm in the house! I have to carry tablets with me anyway in case I get stung as I am allegic to them! Hope you have a good week. Diane
DeleteIt’s good to see the bees but not on your home!
ReplyDeleteMarie I am very happy to see them, but they must move somwhere else! The bee man is coming tomorrow so we will see what happens. Enjoy the week Diane
DeleteOh goodness, I hope the job to remove the bees won't be expensive! Or, even better as Ann said perhaps remove for free.
ReplyDeleteYour other photo's are beautiful, Diane. You're a master photographer!
xoxo
Sally thanks for the very kind comment. The bee removal will certainly cost us, our main worry is roof damage!! Take care Diane xx
DeleteI know you like bugs but that swarm on the roof doesn't look good.
ReplyDeleteGaelyn we could certainly do with out this. Last year was a massive hornet nest in the roof over the bathroom, and the two years before was wasps. They seem to like us!!! Take care Diane
DeleteIncroyable images Diane, j'adore! You will have to let us know how the bee issue is resolved. They are so precious those bees ✨
ReplyDeleteThanks Grace, the bee man is coming tomorrow. They are precious, so I hope he manages to just move them. Take care Diane
DeleteThat is a powerful lot of bees on your roof. The wasp looks like it is trying to undo the nut in order to open the greenhouse.
ReplyDeleteThe greenhouse is wide open, so removing the nut is likely to make it fall down LOL. Take care Diane
DeleteThe bees are scary! Your garden flowers are so beautiful and the critters are so pretty!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the kind comment. The bees have no been removed thankfully. Take care Diane
DeleteOh my goodness, I really appreciate our bees but wouldn't want them to take up residence. Always enjoy your photos Diane, thank you!
ReplyDeleteDenise if I was not allergic I would not have worried but they were removed yesterday thankfully. Take care Diane
DeleteYour camera & skills are amazing. Great shots.
ReplyDeleteThnaks for the very kid comment, have a good week Diane
DeleteBeautiful photos of the flowers and wild life. I'm sorry about the bees making a nesting ground on your roof and hope they will relocate. It seems bees and wasps are attracted to me. If they are outside, they will find me. Yesterday I was having lunch indoors and one followed me right to the table!
ReplyDeleteNigel thinks we have an insect magnet!! Last year it was hornets and the two years before that it was wasps. I have to carry tablets with me in case I get stung. Take care and enjoy the rest of the week Diane
DeleteAs always, your garden and its inhabitants look amazing, Diane. I love the lizard, I hope the bees are not still causing you problems.
ReplyDeleteWith my very best wishes - - - Richard
Thankfully Richard the bees were removed yesterday, but we left it a bit late waiting for them to move on alone. We know now that we have to notify the mayor immediately, and he will get an apiarist to take them away before the settle in.
DeleteWe seem to be low on lizard numbers this year :-( and I have not as yet seen one green lizard.
Best wishes, and take care Diane
Excellent close-up photos!
ReplyDeleteGood to see bees though - there's a lot of talk lately about how drastically the population has been reduced and concern over food production.
ReplyDeleteAt least its a good sign to have bees when there is a world wide decline in population.
