Yes indeed! Thanks for the link Diane! It looks like a male but since the breast feathers gives the sex away, it is difficult to make it out with its back to the objective. And since males are attracted to smaller birds than females which feed rather on doves and thrushes, If it is around your feeders I would definitely bet on a male! When Nigel called me he was facing towards the window, but by the time I had arrived with the camera he had turned! It was right next to the feeders but there are doves around on the floor as well! Diane
