Maximum temperature today 7C, minimum 2C.  3 mm of rain measured last night but drizzling all day. South Easterly winds; 11 km/h with up to 28 km/h gusts.
Are you watching me ?
Eurasian blue tit (Cyanistes caeruleus)

As above...

Quite relaxed it seems

and a close up.  They are very relaxed with me around.

Now I do have 3 bowls of perfectly clean water all full; but no the dirty water in the overflowing mint pot takes preference...

As above...

As above...

That feels better 😊

Two Great tits in the lawn looking for food.

  1. Hi Diane. I love your garden bird photos. The birds seem to be concentrating on the camera lens and to enjoy being photographed. Take care, Kim x

  6. Nice birds - given how popular the first two are, and how edible the last one is, I am surprised that they were never introduced to Australia!

    1. Much better to have animals and birds endemic to your own country. Introducing always upsets the ecological balance. Have a great week Diane

    1. Green grass that is so thick and long, but with all the rain there is no chance of cutting it, the mower will just sink apart from the grass being too wet. Wait until August and the grass will be brown!! Take care, I hope all is well Diane

  11. I can't tell you how much I love seeing these little beauties Diane, funny how he chose the pot to bathe in, perhaps he wanted to smell minty fresh ☺ I don't know about you but I'm getting mighty fed up with this cough, beginning to think it's here to stay!

    1. The birds are delightful, wish I had more time to just sit and watch.
I am just hoping the cough does not hang around like it did last time and I struggled for years, literally, until an Italian Dr found the treatment. Trouble is I will never track him down again as we were on holiday at the time! Fingers crossed we will both recover very soon! Take care Diane
