07/02/2019 Not doing very well at keeping up!!!

Maximum temperature today 11C, minimum 5C.  45mm rain measured so far this year;  last year ended up as 1001 mm.  19km/h South-westerly winds with gusts up to 38 km/h.

Spring has sprung but I am sure the cold will return!
They are all over the place with many more to arrive yet.

Looking on.

Are you looking at me?

Just surveying the view.

Whispering in Mum's ear...

Hey, are you listening to me...

Obviously not...

Oh, I give up...

Now, where shall I go?

At the milk bar.

I have updated my bird blog HERE.

  3. Same here in TN...so cold one day and then the next warm. Today in the 70s and then in two days it will be 35! CRAZY. Just shook the head crap and so hoping I don't come down with it again. Love the sheep. We have a couple of goats living at the barn for a bit. They are so cute. Lady keeps them in the stall and comes to walk them everyday....WALKS THEM ON A LEASH!

    1. Glad you are feling a bit better. A couple of days back we both sat in the house with the heating on and in our coats, then yesterday N was complaining he was too hot !! Walking goats could be fun. There are a couple down the road from us, but if I go close they head butt the fence to try and attack me - not friendly at all! Keep well Diane

    2. Yep...these two tried butting me through the bars of the stall until they actually met me when their mom had them out. Once they met me face to face they seem ok with me now.

  6. I could sit and watch lambs for hours, Diane - they are so gorgeous! My favourite time is when they're old enough to form gangs and play together - 'king of the castle' seems to be their favourite game if there is a pile of something to stand on! Your lovely images have me looking forward to the arrival of spring here, but I think it's going to be a while yet!

My very best wishes to you and Nigel - - - - Richard

    1. I must agree they are such fun to watch and especially when they gang up and play games. Even now they are very bouncy.
Yes, I am sure spring is not here yet, but it is certainly a bit warmer at the present time. I have known frost here in May, so It is a continual watch on the weather for the garden and especially young plants in the vegetable garden
Thanks Richard for the good wishes for Nigel - more tests to undergo! Nothing very promising though! Not fatal, but very inconvenient and painful.
Best wishes to you both as always, Diane

  7. Great photo's, Diane! I wonder, do they use the 'fur' for making knitting thread, (for lack of a better word).

Our weather yesterday and today 80, cooler over the weekend though.

Take care, good to see you again!
