07/07/2019 More bugs from our last holiday

Maximum temperature today 30C, minimum 17C.  Dry.  10km/h North-easterly winds with gusts up to 25 km/h.  

Still many unknowns, ID is not easy !!!

Fritillary Butterfly but not sure which one....

Beetle, possibly one of the longhorns.

Unknown.

White tailed bumblebee (Bombus terrestris / lucorum).

Provençal fritillary (Melitaea deione)...

Pearly heath (Coenonympha arcania)...

Provençal fritillary (Melitaea deione)...

One of the Fritillaries, not sure which, on a buttercup.

Damselfly...

Moth, I think one of the Geometer moths...

Shield bug (Graphosoma italicum).

  5. Wonderful macros of the butterflies and other insects! Our butterflies still have not recovered almost two years after Hurricane Irma. Only saw one on my wetlands walk this morning.
