Maximum temperature in the Charente today 12C, minimum 6C. Rain all day not measured as yet. I am guessing that we are now over 200 mm this year. 36km/h North-westerly wind with gusts up to 86 km/h.
Because the weather is so bad I have been trying to take a few photos of flowers that are not too beaten up and I have been playing with frames for them. Something different!!
Cowslips (Primula veris).
I think this is wild Sea Mayweed (Tripleurospermum maritimum).
Gorse (Ulex europaeus).
House orchid (Cymbidium).
Wild buttercup (Ranunculaceae).
Snowdrop (Galanthus nivali).
Unknown blossom in the neighbour's orchard.
Wild Greater Stitchwort (Stellaria holostea).
Rosemary (Salvia rosmarinus).
Japanese quince ( Chaenomeles japonica).
Hyacinth (Hyacinthus).
Camellia.

Gorgeous flowers Diane, so cheerful and sunny looking :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Denise we need something to cheer us in this dismal weather we are having at present! Keep well Diane
DeleteBon week-end.
Amicalement. Diane
Lovely!
ReplyDeleteThank you, have a good weekend Diane
DeleteThe way you have framed these attractive flowers is very appealing, Diane. Well done. Félicitations.
ReplyDeleteThanks David, the weather is just ridiculous at present 29mm measured this morning!! Hope you both have a great weekend Diane
DeleteJust gorgeous! The frames are creative and suit so well!
ReplyDeleteI also like the frames but a bit of a time waster a there are other jobs in the house I could be doing 😊 Enjoy your weekend, Diane
DeleteLovely flower photos. I think you framed them beautifully. You cannot tell it is raining where you are from these photos. It is still raining where I am too but sunny days once in awhile. Spring blossoms are here at least and soon it will be time to put in the gardens.
ReplyDeletePenny another 29mm of rain measured this morning it seems to go on and on! Saturday is meant to be dry, but as I have a parcel due to arrive, I will need to wait for it, hopefully it will arrive early! Have a fab weekend Diane
DeleteJust beautiful The frames enhance the shot. good enough to hang on the wall. Hope you don't get webbed feet with all that rain. My post is about rain.
ReplyDeleteDiane I think we already have webbed feet, it just seems to go on and on. Will pop over now and see what you have to say about rain, Keep well Diane

DeleteOh wow they look gorgeous in frames Diane, makes such a difference 🌺🌷 Still too hot here, 36C tomorrow.. I'm a wee bit over it 😉
ReplyDeleteI would be more than happy if it was 36C here. We have had a mild winter (so far) but still too cold for my thin blood!!! Have a great week, Diane
DeleteThe frames are fun and really highlight the flower's colors.
ReplyDelete(Am I behind reading or what?)
