Maximum temperature here today 30⁰C, minimum 15⁰C. Dry. 14km/h North-Westerly winds with gusts up to 31 km/h.
I will eventually catch up with myself I hope. I have lots of photos from this month but I am just short of time to spend on the computer.

Bumblebee possibly (Bombus soroeensis soroeensis).
Harvestmen (Arthropoda, Arachnida, Opiliones) I guess one is a Harvestman!!!
Common Wall Lizard (Podarcis Muralis).
Thirsty bees.
Small White (Pieris rapae).
Bumblebee in the agapanthus...
As above.
Hummingbird hawk-moth (Macroglossum stellatarum).
Acorns from our oak tree. Love the tree, but wow this time of the year there are a lot of tiny oaks from last years acorns!!!
Common Wall Lizard (Podarcis Muralis).
My local list of wildflowers. (85 Species 06/07/2020)
Unlike your fabulous garden, Diane, our garden wildlife has become a bit thin on the ground with very windy, cold, and now wet, weather. I've never known such cold July days - the central heating is coming on most days!
ReplyDeleteThese photos are absolutely delightful, and the real treats for me are the Humming-bird Hawk-moth and the lizard.
My very best wishes to you both - take great care - - - Richard
Richard we have had it pretty chilly here for the past month, and I am more than happy that it has at last decided to warm up here. I can handle the heat so much better than the cold!! I love the Hummingbird Hawk-moths but they are quite a challenge as they are so quick moving from one place to the other. The lizards I am very fond of, but sadly I have not seen the green ones for a couple of years now, or not in the garden.
DeleteI hope that all is well there and that you are keeping out of trouble. Very best wishes, Diane
Your macro work continues to impress, Diane. I am encouraged to see all those pollinators busy at work playing their vital role in the environment.
ReplyDeleteDavid we seem to have plenty of bees around but the hoverflies seem a a bit low in numbers this year!!
DeleteHope all is well over there, take care Diane
Those first and seventh photos are fantastic but they are all great. The bees look so fuzzy.
ReplyDeleteThanks Marie, the bees almost look cuddly but only almost 😊 Take care and stay well, iane
DeleteAlways very enjoyable to see your macros. Thank you Diane, and all the best to you :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Denise for the comment, as always appreciated. Keep well and stay safe, Diane
DeleteWonderful close-up photos. The small white butterfly is my favorite.
ReplyDeleteHi Diane - all beautiful ... just glad to see a few stunning photos of your garden occupants. Enjoy the garden and life - take care - Hilary
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Hilary. I just wish there were a few more hours in the day, I am just not getting through all I want to do!! Keep safe and have a good week Diane
DeleteI'm hoping you are busy outside in the garden. As usual, great shots of your local friends.
ReplyDeleteI have been busy in the garden but we are having some drizzle today. Too much for me to go and garden but not enough to do the garden much good!! Keep safe, Diane
DeleteCute little critters.
ReplyDeleteThanks Pam, I hope you are well. Diane
DeleteBeautiful series of macros Diane, the bees do get so thirsty in the warmer weather, I spend a fair bit of time rescuing them out of the pool in summer here 🐝 Happy to see all is well with you, take care and have a lovely weekend 💜
ReplyDeleteWe do not have a pool but the insects spend a lot of time at the water I put out for the birds. Hope that all is well with you also, take care Diane
DeleteLove your macro shots of critters. First time seeing acorns of an oak tree. Stay well and stay safe. Have a fabulous weekend.
ReplyDeleteThank you Nancy, do you not have Oak trees over there? Hope you have a good week. Diane
DeleteWow Diane so hot there! we are in winter just now , Love all yours pictures always!! take care!
ReplyDeleteGloria I love the heat but I hate winter. I should move back and forth from the south to the North each year!! Take care Diane
DeleteHello
ReplyDeleteYou don't have to travel far if you have your own garden, always a place to chill, relax and of course take pictures, very nice post
Regards Frank
I would not survive long without our garden I suspect, it is what keeps me sane and especially during lock-dowm. Thanks so much for the visit and especially for the comment. Have a good week Diane
DeleteI love all the cool critters that you find to photograph!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Pam, it is getting quite hot here now and there do not seem to be as many around!! Have a good day Diane
DeleteThat bumblebee looks as though he's wearing his winter coat.
