06/07/2017 A walk and a drive but the drive I will add tomorrow. Too many photos!!

Maximum temperature 31C, minimum 16C. 12 km/h NW winds with 17 km/h gusts. A few drops of rain this morning that did not show in the rain gauge!
Crops as far as the eye can see.

Sorry Linda and David, it appears that the Canadian carpenters are not arriving this year, but the set up is a memorial it seems, see below pinned to one of the logs.

27/04/2017 If you do not like cars and particularly Porsche, you may find this post boring!!

Maximum temperature 12C, minimum -2C.  12 kmh N wind, 15 km/h gusts.  Overcast with some sun, rain around but we mostly missed it, chilly wind.  Ice on the birdbath this morning!  1mm rain measured. 
Driving through the Charente forests...

 into the department of Vienne and the town of Pressac...

and we arrived at the Circuit Val de Vienne.

The cars were on the Optic 2000 rally from Paris to Biarritz, this was one of the places where they stopped to take a drive around the track.
