Maximum temperature today 31C, minimum 17C. A light shower of rain this evening, I hope for the garden we may get a bit more; 9 km/h North westerly winds with up to 24 km/h gusts.
Bastille day celebrations last night
Not the best photos, with all the rain this year the trees seem to have grown more than ever, viewing in the field was somewhat obstructed!
As above, I have a fairly good video but our WiFi speed will not allow me to download it!
Today France wins the World Cup Football 2018. Fabulous result, cheers ....

Happy sunflowers in the fields yesterday...
and a glowing sky.
I will try to catch up with more holiday photos next week, I just seem to be getting further and further behind!
N.B. My bird blog is updated HERE
Part 16 of the birds seen in Africa.
There is more than a little irony that you have been bemoaning the rain all year and now you are hoping for a little more.
ReplyDeleteDavid we had 7mm last night which was very welcome, despite the storm and all the damage on the 7th, the high temperatures since have turned the soil into rock hard. The total rainfall this year is 687mm which is much higher then normal.
DeleteHave a good week Diane

ReplyDeleteI could not agree more, the happiest flowers I know :-) Enjoy your week Diane
DeleteWow....loving the sunflowers and the firework pics. Beautiful. I planted one sunflower this yr and it did not come up. Matter of fact the garden just has not been the best this yr. I think I know the issues and I plan on working on that.
ReplyDeleteOur garden is not doing well this year either. First too much rain, then the storm, followed by a fortnight of dry very high temperatures!!! Next year will be better :-))))) Take care Diane
DeleteI am in the same boat going further behind. Well done to the French Football team. We enjoyed watching the match.
