Bee, think it got confused as to which was the flower and which was the seed head!

Bee on the quince blossom.
Crane-fly.
Love is in the air - crane-flies.
Green-veined white (Pieris napi).
Orange-tip Butterflies (Anthocharis cardamines).
Small white (Pieris rapae).
Common wall lizard (Podarcis muralis).
Cattle in the field just beyond our house.
Horses in a neighbour's paddock.
Not sure what this blossom is seen across the road but it is pretty!

DeleteHi Diane, all the photos are lovely but the top macro photo of the bee is stupendous. The weather look very nice too with warm temperatures and sunny skies. In the month of April we have had no rain so it's far below the norm though maybe last month and the month before we had more than the norm. Looks like I did my work on patio garden in the nick of time as rain starts today for the rest of the week. Enjoy your garden and stay safe. xx
ReplyDeleteWe have been having strange weather and next week it turns cold again, one day only 13C is forecast as maximum!! Alss more rain forecast though it looks like today they have it wrong unless it changes, supposed to be storms but no sign of them as yet. Stay safe and well Diane.

ReplyDeleteHi Hilary sorry reply is very late. We have been very busy in the garden and time just keeps running out. It is a lovely area and I am lucky I can walk in a good area even with the 1 km radius restriction. Never the less it is still getting boring as I know how much else there is around to see. We are still lucky though as my friends in RSA are not allowed out at all for exercise, even if they go out of the gate to cut the verges they could get fined. Take care Diane

ReplyDeleteWe thankfully have had no snow this year in fact we have not had any for a few years now. We have a cold spell coming up next week with only 13C one day, but no sign of frost. That would spell disaster for my veg garden but I have known frost in May so we are not out of it yet. Keep well both of you. Diane

DeleteI mentioned to you that we'd been seeing more wildlife and bees are of the things we've been seeing more of. Two types - a honey bee and a stingless bee.

DeleteCrane flies....we always called them gallon nippers! Why, cause the legs are so long they can sit on the lip of a gallon jug and lean in an nip whatever is in the gallon...haha. Beautiful catch on the bee. Great job.
