04/03/2017 More of our past month's adventure.

Maximum temperature 11C, minimum 4C.  45km/h NW wind. 23 mm of rain overnight.
10/02/17 Moth: Cream-striped owl (Cyligramma latona). North-West Province of South Africa.

10/02/17 Springbok (Antidorcas marsupialis).  The rarer black springbok is caused by selective breeding on some ranches.  Leopard Park, North-West Province of South Africa. 

14/02/17 Hermit Crab (Dardanus calidusSouth Coast, Leisure Bay.

14/02/17 Vervet Monkey (Chlorocebus pygerythrus) South Coast, Leisure Bay.

17/02/17 Giraffe.  KwaZulu-Natal.

17/02/17 Long-tailed Blue (Lampides boeticus).  KwaZulu-Natal.

17/02/17 Southern Red Bishop bird (Euplectes orix). KwaZulu-Natal.

17/02/17 Sunbird on its nest in Natal.  
Lesser Doublecollared Sunbird. (Nectarinia chalybea). The eggs have now hatched and babies being fed regularly.
