Those poachers make my blood boil! :( Your photos are absolutely beautiful, Diane! And seeing your sewing machine reminds me of the sewing classes I took in high school. Sadly, I never had a sewing machine of my own and did not continue it, but I love to see outfits and anything that are home sewn!
ReplyDeleteI feel the same, why cannot wild animals live in peace without stupid superstitions waging war with them for no reason. So very sad.
DeleteI love sewing but nowadays it is not often I get around to it! I also love painting but that also takes time that I never seem to have!
Keep well Diane
Lovely photos of the African wildlife! Such majestic animals!
ReplyDeleteThey are majestic animals, if only they were allowed to live in a peaceful place! Diane
DeleteI wonder how long rhinos can continue to survive.
ReplyDeleteThe Asian Rhino is critically endangered and the African Rhinos are only surviving in protected areas and they are still getting shot there by poachers. One was even shot in a French zoo last week for its horn in the middle of the night!!!!!
DeleteBotswana seems to have the right idea, if people are in a reserve where and when they shouldn't be, shoot to kill don't ask questions. It is a sad state of affairs. Then of course you still have the trophy hunters!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Trumps sons are on that list!) It just makes me very angry. Diane
OH Diane, these shots are superb! Plus bring back fond memories. So glad you got to return to southern Africa. Giraffes always seem to give the funniest expressions. The rhinos are so majestic. And of course the elephant...
