29/05/2017 Lacerta viridis out for a walk and a beautiful sunflower.

Maximum temperature 24C, minimum 15C.  6 km/h SW wind.  Light rain not measured yet.
Smile for the camera please...

Green Lizard (Lacerta viridis)...

I missed the quick sip he had in passing...


This is one of our smaller Green Lizards, but measuring the holder that the water is in, I would say this one is just on 30 cms (12 ins) long from nose to tail tip. 


and off into the bushes at the end of the railway sleeper.

    Diane, I love what you with with this photo on LunaPic! Gorgeous! And I love your lizard photos! I would be tempted to reach out and pet him. :)

      The sunflower is fun:-) If you put your hand out he would be gone. I move very slowly as they are extremely nervous, even though I think they do recognise me around now. Enjoy life, Diane

      Thanks Jo, I had never heard of LunaPic, it is amazing. The lizards are such delightful creatures and I have one follower who will not look when I put lizards on, they scare her! Hope you have a fantastic week.
